A 1930’s Seagrass Chair By Erich Deickmann

A fabulous seagrass and Beech chair by Erich Deickmann. Deickmann was one of the pre-eminant furniture designers of the Bauhaus along with the likes of Marcel Breuer.

The curved Beech frame was steamed to manipulate its form and the chair is a perfect example fo Deickmann’s avant-garde yet minimal approach to design.
