Barracks Bench
The fumed pippy oak framed bench is a modern interpretation of a classic design, taking with it the turned legs and interlocking spindles for re-enforcement. Beneath the upholstered fabric seat cushion is woven cane; a feature honouring many Thebes designs. The evenly placed legs support both the front and back of the piece and have distinctive interlocking joints, while the corners appear to simply ‘sit’ on the legs. The expressed knuckle detail draws the eye to all the joining spindles adding both detail and craftsmanship
